The cover has just a little very mild shelfwear (like you sometimes find in any new book store). NO chips, tears or fading. Square and tight. Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. Translated from the 2001 Taiwan original by the author, Zhengying Zhou, Jesse Hong Xiong, and Jenn Gerlach. Bound in the original white, blue and red pictorial wraps. From the publisher: "This is a work of 'systematic parapsychology.' The book aims to construct a framework and system of parapsychology, taking a comprehensive approach to the field. The Outline of Parapsychology states that parapsychology has a different philosophical background from the existing science and religions, and posits that pantheism could be the theoretical basis of parapsychology. The book also integrates parapsychology with oriental philosophies and New Age movement thought." Jesse Hong Xiong received his Ph.D. in philosophy from NanKai University in China. He has been a visiting scholar in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto, Canada.. First Edition in English. Softcover. Near Fine condition.
