Columbia: University of South Carolina Press, 1953. Hardcover, near fine in a very good dust jacket. Green cloth with gilt title on spine, 120 pages, illustrations and frontispiece portrait, 23cm tall, octavo. The first part covers the history of the "News and Courier," a Charleston, South Carolina newspaper. Second part covers 9 prominent personalities that worked at the paper, including a reprint of a Pulitzer Prize winning editorial, "The Plight of the South." Ownership signature on endpaper, otherwise a clean and unworn copy. Dust jacket has light edge wear.
