Delightfully illustrated in oranges/browns/greens by many different artists, with colors still bright and clear. and b/w drawings. Green cloth binding with gold titles and paste on picture which is rubbed. Corners and spine head and heel are scuffed, edges rubbed; the sewn binding is tight and solid. Endpapers illustrated in black, orange and green with children and a castle. Color illustration on the title page. Pages are quite clean with no underlining or highlighting, no notes or marginalia. All pages present and intact. Contents are varied and wonderfully illustrated: All About Columbus; Babe of Bethlehem; Casey Jones; Dick Wittington and His Cat; Hiawatha's Childhood; and many more. 224 pages. 7.25 x 9.5 inches. 1937, The Book House for Children Publishers, Chicago, Illinois, USA
