The Overbury Mystery: A Chronicle of Fact and Drama of the Law, By His Honour Judge Edward Abbott Parry Hardback, 1925, first edition, with frontispiece, published by T. Fisher Unwin Ltd, London, 328 pages. Octavo/8vo, measures around 9" by 5 3/4" by 1 5/8". No dust jacket. Dark green cloth binding, gilt lettering to spine. Some marking and scuffing to binding but quite clean and colouring still vivid. Signs of wear, particularly to spine, which has a number of tears and is cracked along front outer hinge and very chipped there and at head and tail of spine. Rubbing at edges, bumped and torn corners. Wear to front inner hinge though back inner hinge still quite firm and although there is some slackness the binding overall is holding quite well and the book contents are reasonably firm. Page edges browned, scuffed and a bit marked. Lower page edges deckled and a bit foxed. Foxing to endpapers, the odd mark throughout and an occasional pencil mark or piece of marginalia but otherwise page surfaces clean. See pictures for further information.
