Ultrajecti: Apud Guil Van De Water, 1704. Full Vellum. Very Good. 24 Mo. 13 cm x 7.5 cm, pp. [64], 387, [41], engraved title-page signed 'J. Goeree del' and 'C. Huyberts fec', folding map, engraved headpieces and initials, contemporaneous full vellum binding with faded handwritten title to spine. Covers darkened , top of rear joint slit 3 cm to first thong, otherwise still tight and secure; pastedowns slit around the vellum turn-ins where they have sprung slightly, previous owner's signatures to verso of title-page dated 1757 and 1806, interior lightly soiled, primarily at the Index, otherwise interior very good with map clean and sharp. Preliminary materials include Donatus' life of Vergil; a history of Vergil; scholia; epitaphs. Texts include Culex, Ciris, and Catalecta. Text in Latin.
