Illustrated throughout with full page plates, portraits, maps and plans. Frontispiece engraving of Sir George Carew in volume 1 and frontispiece portrait of Donnell O'Sulevan Beare in volume 2. Folding plate of Map of Munster in volume 1 with a total of 15 plates in volume 1 and 9 in volume 2 (mostly maps). NUMBERED LIMITED EDITION #423/500. A faithful reproduction of the original edition of 1633. A clean unmarked set with excellent interior and images and fresh cloth, bright gilt and no signs of fading or soil. Diminutive bookseller stickers at bottom corner of front endpapers and light rubbing to edges and a couple of flecks of scratches on front board of volume 1. Hinges tender but without cracks or separation. A very good plus very attractive and uncommon set of this key work of Irish history.. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good.
