New York: Charles Scribner, 1925. 1st. Decorative Cloth. Collectible; Very Good. The 1925 1st edition of this lavish study of the paintings of Blake. 1 of 1,150 copies issued (only 210 of which were reserved for the United States). Solid in VG in its vellum-backed marbled boards, with mild darkening along the spine and light soiling along its hinges. Light rubbing as well to the panels and very light foxing at the preliminaries. Still though, a perfectly presentable copy. Quarto, 117 pgs. of text plus 100 plates (15 of which are in full color). All plates include their printed tissue-guards as well. Former museum bookplate at front pastedown.
