About This Item

Pittsburgh, PA: Museum of Art, Carnegie Institute, 1977. Book. Very Good. Soft cover. 1st Edition. First Edition. Quarto, illustrated stiff wraps (trade paperback). 258 pp. including indexes, source notes, "Landmarks" and works held in public collections. Introduction by Eugene Ionesco and selected writings by Alechinsky. Generously illustrated throughout with mostly full page color and black and white reproductions, including a number of double page images. A very bold and colorful work published on the occasion of Alechinsky's one man show at the Pittsburgh Musuem of Art Internationall exhibition. A very sound, tight square, crisp internally clean and unmarked volume with all images fine. Spine shows very light tanning and a 1.5" tear at bottom front forecorner to the cover material. Light bump to opposite corner and minor edgewear and soil. A much more attractive coppy than this meticulous catalogue of flaws would indicate. Very good UNCOMMON.
