About This Item
N.p. [Managua?]: Direccion General de divulgacion y Prensa de la J.G.R.N., [1983]. Octavo. Staple-bound pamphlet; pictorial card wrappers, 55pp, illus. Mild evidence of use, stil tight, clean and unmarked. A Very Good or better copy. Text entirely in Spanish.
Ortega's speech before the United Nations General Assembly in September 1983. Ortega used the occasion to strongly denounce the United States' role in Central America, in particular its support of right-wing death squads in the Contra War. The pamphlet is photo-illustrated with examples of the Contras' atrocities against Nicaraguan women and children. A key document of the Nicaraguan Revolution, and somewhat uncommon, only five examples located in OCLC, not generally seen in commerce.
