Footnotes with terms set in Hebrew type and explained in the text; errata. HARDCOVER, contemporary half cloth and marbled boards, spine gilt, old institutional bookplate and stamp, pencil underlining throughout, neat repair to verso of last leaf. In a very good condition. ~ FIRST EDITION. The first part covers the geographical history of the Holy Land; the second part covers the physical geography; the third part is dedicated to the natural history; and the fourth part is a lovely "Nomenclature historique des villes et bourgardes de la Palestine," with all the original place names set in Hebrew type and explained with references.
