About This Item

New York: Alan Brilliant, 1958. Signed by Leonard Cohen on the title page. Unpaginated. Bound in publisher's wraps with yapped edges. Very Good with toning to wraps, light edge wear.

A poetry periodical featuring two of Canadian singer and poet Leonard Cohen's early poems: "The Cuckold's Song" and "Master and Slave." Early appearance of Cohen in an anthology at age 24. Irving Layton was an early and lifelong friend and mentor. Also in this issue are poems by Louis Dudek, Cohen's teacher and supporter from his University of McGill undergraduate days. Quite uncommon signed.
