Scarce, early travel guide for Paris, with a folding hand-colored map of the city. 12mo. 14 by 9 cm, 5.5 by 3.5 inches. xxiv, fold-out table, 468 pp. With 12 steel engravings. The map, when opened, measures 47 by 32 cm and color keys major buildings by type: military structures, religious structures, theaters, etc. It is a very handsome map depicting Restoration Paris. Heavy rubbing and wear to calf spine. Tear to map perpendicular to where hinged to binding. Most leaves are clean.
