Paris: Albin Michel, 1919. Hardcover. Very Good. Copyright date 1919, but possibly published in the 1940's. Inscription on ffep dated 1945. Black cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. Minor blemishes on cloth; a few spots of the gilt have been rubbed. Previous owner's book plate on front paste-down. Interior is lightly toned, but clean. 315 pages. 6.75 x 4.5 inches. French language. A partly autobiographical novel by Jean-Louis Vaudoyer (1883-1963). This French novelist, poet, essayist, and art historian, was also administrator general of the Comedie-Francaise from 1941 to 1944.
