The First UK printing published by Faber & Faber, London in 1937. The BOOK is in near Fine condition. Original beige cloth, title gilt to spine on a grey ground. Covers are clean with only a hint of spotting to the endpapers. Grey top-stain remains bright. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is complete and is in near Fine condition with just a hint of toning to the spine. Very light edge-wear with a just a few tiny chips to the extreme upper spine tip. The white rear panel is remarkably clean for its age with only very light age related markings. A small very faint red pencil mark to the front panel. The red and yellow lettering to the spine remains very bright. The wrapper looks very striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. Two illustrated plates (one as frontispiece) after etchings by Jones, and a map plate, each with original tissue guards present.
