First printing, duodecimo size, 219 pp. Per "The Encyclopedia Brittanica", Pareto, " ...laid the foundation of modern welfare economics... [Then later] Believing that there were problems that economics could not solve, Pareto turned to Sociology, writing what he considered his greatest work...Because of his theory of the superiority of the elite, Pareto sometimes has been associated with fascism. His concept of society as a social system had a strong impact on the development of sociology and theories of social action in the United States after World War II."
___DESCRIPTION: Bound in black cloth over boards, green lettering on spine, top edge stained green; duodecimo size (7 5/8" x 5"), pagination: [1-6] 7-219.
___CONDITION: Volume is very good, square text block with solid hinges, all pages are complete without any tears or creases; small smudges on front and rear boards, shelf wear evident at top and bottom of spine, corners bumped, interior pages somewhat yellowed, free of prior owner markings other than a small stamp on front paste-down endpaper.
