Never married Bay Stratton has a slightly mysterious role at the embassy in Paris - Miss Sims the mannequin tells him that "An ordinary, modern girl, who knew how to take care of herself, would make you nervous". She's right. Originally published by Collins in 1935. Crown 8vo (18cm). 190,[ii]pp. Original pictorial stapled wrappers - a design by Reginald Mills; some very minor chipping, creasing and marking, but a very good copy. Just a single copy (British Library) of this edition located in major libraries worldwide.
