This is a worn yet solid copy of a classic tale of a traveling bookstore, horse-drawn, and the protagonist's dealings with his sister. SIGNED by Christopher Morley,
to front free endpaper. Christopher Morley, 1890 - 1957, was an American novelist. Morley's first novel, Parnassus On Wheels (1917) follows Roger Mifflin, a traveling bookseller, and his adventures with a bookstore on wheels.

Synopsis

Although my name appears on the title page, the real author of this book is Miss Helen McGill (now Mrs. Roger Mifflin), who told me the story with her own inimitable vivacity. And on her behalf I want to send to you these few words of acknowledgment.
