About This Item
Published by André Deutsch Ltd, London; 1991. First Edition. Fine/Very Good+
This is the first edition of this modern novel by author Hugh Leonard. It tells of 'one of the greatest and most improbable of love stories' which causes a number of lies and deceits. This is a fast moving tale, with intrigue, wit and emotion combining to tell a moving love story.
Bound in it's original red boards with gilt lettering to the spine, there are no flaws to speak of other than a slight creasing to the spine. Inside, apart from a slight bump to the pastedowna dn a mark to the ffep, the pages are clean and bright and free from damage. In all this is an excellent example of this book.
The dust jacket is in Very Good+ condition. There is some slight bumping to the corners adn some creasing to the panels. Otherwise, it is in very smart condition and compliments the books very well.
In all, this is a smart and tidy modern first edition that would sit well on any shelf.
