First edition, folio, (viii), xvi, 402, (2) pp. 30 plates and 2 hand coloured Geological maps by Gideon Mantell as well as a folding map of the country hand coloured in outline, this latter map with a closed tear, one other plate hand coloured. Some light foxing, marginal damp stain to the top corner of the frontispiece. Contemporary black half calf, marbled sides, some rubbing, later spine label. Complete in itself, this is part two of James Dallaway's "History of the Western Division of the County of Sussex, including the Rapes of Chichester, Arundel and Bramber"
