New York, NY: Award Books, 1968. Mass Market Paperback. Very Good. First Edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. A very rare book. Collectible. The Partizaner is a masterful novel of Jewish underground fighters who struck back at the Nazis. Their numbers included men and women who escaped from ghettoes and death camps, children orphaned by the holocaust, refugees from nightmares of tragedy. Their weapons consisted of guns they stole or captured from the enemy. This book is a stunning testimony to their courage, daring and heroism.the never-to-be-forgotten story of a handful of men and women who bear witness to man's undaunted spirit in the face of the greatest evil humanity has known. The Partizaner is a magnificent novel by a world-renowned author, whose intimate, personal knowledge of the Jewish underground fighters illuminates each page. 315 pages. Some rubbing on top & bottom & edges of spine and some places on outside edges. Spine is creased. Four creases on front cover ranging from 1" to 3" in length. A 1" crease on the rear cover aross the right top corner. Some browning on borders, but doesn't affect the text at all..
