Paris: Bureau der Pasigraphie, 1797. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition. 19th century calf backed marbled boards, spine split and the boards held only by added endpapers. Original endpapers browned, some pages a little rumpled, slight dampstain in the gutter in one section, but mostly quite clean internally. Lacking the dedication leaf to Dem Freyherrn von Dalberg, Coadjutor von Mainz sometimes present. Two volumes in one. 76pp; 62pp. The scarcer German edition, published simultaneously with the French, of Maimieux's famous attempt to construct a written universal language.
