About This Item
Paris and Nancy: Berger-Levrault, 1915. Limited First Edition. Wraps. Very Good Plus. No. 169 of 208 limitation, and one of 200 copies on Arches paper. 4to. 26.5 by 20.5 cm. Charming children's book addressing the quotadien concerns of a child, with each plate touching on an issue or aspect of a child's world and thinking. An example is a segment that gently broaches the subject of death, in this case, of a Grandfather. Unpaginated, 16 leaves, with eight color pochoir plates, and other color vignettes and decoration, including the two rondel portraits on the front cover. Condition: a few stains on wrap covers but cumulatively, still a minor issue, in our view. A few darker stains on rear inside cover. Otherwise, quite clean, with signs of light use but nothing beyond that.
