About This Item

Spencer Press Inc, 1950. Hardcover. Excellent/Very Good Minus. 8x5x1. Norman Price. Vintage Hardback Landmark Book with Dust Jacket special edition printed by Spencer Press. Only the first printing of the Spencer Press editions had Dust Jackets- so this is one of those early books! Book itself is in Excellent condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. Inside text is UNREAD! Outside cloth covers are very nice with no corner wear- the only issue with the covers is at the bottom of the outside spine there is a small piece of the dust jacket stuck to the book. No marks or writing inside or outside of the book. Dust Jacket is in Very Good Minus condition with some minor chipping at the top of the outside spine and that missing piece at the bottom of the spine that is stuck to the book. A nice Dust Jacket that is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting. This is a non-Library book that has come from a private collection.
