Garden City, New York:Doubleday, Doran and Company, Inc. 1930. 1st edition.  Inscribed and signed by the author on the 1st free flyleaf. Hardcover with dust jacket.  Green boards lightly soiled and edgeworn with dark topstain and foredges darkened. Internally, aside from inscription, pages slightly age toned but clean, free of previous owners marks or signatures.  The dust jacket is in fair condition, still in one piece but barely with the front cover separating along gutter edge, overall soiling, and much wear to edges and folds.  *"The experiences of a man who found in "life's extras," starlight in the deep woods, the early morning wind crooning in the pines, the immaculate grace of the bob-white, the magic of contentment."...dj.
