Copyright 1928, published 1928 by The Investment House of Frederick Peirce & Co. (Philadelphia and New York), printed in Philadelphia. 1st Edition, 1st Printing based on matching publication and copyright dates. Few other copies of this book possess the dust jacket, which is a brown dust jacket with a "Price $7.50 Net" printed on the spine. Dust jacket is brittle and has large pieces torn several edges of the jacket, numerous nicks, chips, tears greater than 1-inch, a large stain on the front top corner, shelfwear, heavy scratches, wrinkles, smudges, and edge wear (particularly at the front cover, spine head and tail). Maroon hardcovers show minor wear such as tanning to the front and rear endpapers and pastedowns (from the dust jacket discoloring the paper), and nicks/scratches. Textblock and pages are tanning, especially at the front pastedowns and endpapers. In the front endpaper, there is an insert in the book from the publisher that presents this copy to a potential store or retailer. There does not appear to be any writing in the text. Overall, the book is in Very Good minus (VG-) condition and the jacket is now placed in mylar.
