About This Item

Leroy & Medina, Ohio: Alvin F. Staufer, 1962. First Edition. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good. 4to. Volume I, Pennsy Power (1962): frontis., 315 pp., illus. First edition, first printing. Text by Bert Pennypacker and research by Martin Flattley. Volume II, Pennsy Power II (1968): 350 pp., illus. First edition, first printing. Both volumes bound in red leatherette with gilt decoration (Pennsylvania Railroad logo) on font cover and gilt lettering and decoration on spine. Privately printed by Alvin F. Staufer. Both volumes have owner's signature in ink, mild edgewear, slight bruising to head and foot of spines; dustjackets have some edgewear, a bit of chipping and a few small closed tears mainly at heat and/or foot of spines. Foot of spine of Volume I has a horizontal tear about one inch from bottom and a small piece missing below that, but not affecting text. Still a very nice set of the definitive and profusely illustrated paean to this great railroad. Extra postage will be required due to the size and weight of these volumes.
