"This edition with frontispiece and the author's autograph bound up June 1931." This signed edition was created from unbound, first edition signatures to which were added the limitation page, frontispiece and chapter XI (not included in the TOC). The additional chapter is titled, "Tis Twenty Years Since." A very handsome copy of this scarce Maine classic. Minimal shelf/edge wear, touch of sun at the spine, author signature on limitation page, else tight, bright and unmarred. Green cloth boards, gilt lettering, black ink lettering and decorative elements, frontispiece. 8vo. 351pp.
