Hard Cover. 220 pages: 5.75 x 8.5 in.: 1.2: KB#005640: Color Frontispiece, decorated front and back endpapers, and many black/white drawings throughout. Boards are light gray with blue & black illustrations on front and back - black lettering on yellow cloth spine. Boards and pages are clean, unmarked, brightly colored, tightly bound and sharp cornered. Scarce, Out Of Print, Book. If interested, I have several other titles in this Junior Deluxe Edition Series from the 1950's. .

Synopsis

Penrod and Sam is a novel by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Booth Tarkington that was first published in 1916. The book is the sequel to his 1914 work, Penrod, and focuses more on the relationship between the main character of the previous book, Penrod Schofield, and his best friend, Sam Williams. More of Penrod's adventures appear in the final book of the series Penrod Jashber (1929). The three books were published together in one volume, Penrod: His Complete Story, in 1931.
