Boston & New York: Andrew F. Graves & Sheldon and Company, 1859. Daniel (Clarke) Eddy (1823-1896) was a Baptist minister who was noted for several hymns that he wrote. This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition, part of a series of travel books he wrote for young people. Not common. Red cloth binding, heavily blindstamped on the front cover; gilt filling on the spine. Clean text; 255 pages. Illustrated with twelve steel engravings. Mildly bumped, rubbed at the spine margins, edges a bit dusty, spine slightly faded. There is a small contemporary bookseller's label on the FFEP. Not pristine, but a solid copy. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First American Edition.. Decorative Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket.
