The text is a superb scholarly discussion of the how, because of the work of a small number of punchcutters, French Antiqua (roman) type came to be dominant in sixteenth and seventeenth century printing. Dimensions are 8.75 x 13.75 inches and consisting of 52 pages, with a bifolium (4 pages) from the 1591 edition.
