First Printing. Calvinist minister, theologian, and Yale (1756) graduate John Smalley discusses Psalm XIX, "The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul." Smalley was a member of the New Divinity movement, associated with Jonathan Edwards. REFERENCE: Evans 20710. CONDITION: Leaves separating at spine, 3 cm. damp stain to terminal leaf and other minor stains, foxing throughout.
