About This Item

New York: Clarkson Potter, Inc., 1991. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 2nd Printing Second printing per number line. Hard cover in fine condition with pictorial boards of snow covered hills with Christmas trees. Petite size 7 1/4"" tall x 5 1/4' wide. 39 numbered heavy weight pages, almost every one but those for chapter headings have an illustration by the author and four or six lines of the poetry telling the story. Powder blue endpapers sprinkled with snowflakes. Interior text block clean & tight with no writings, no markings, no defects to note. Dust jacket is very good with a 1/2"" closed tear on bottom front; not price clipped. DJ is of a filmy paper that allows the illustrations on the boards to show through.* From the jacket flap, ""Abbie Zabar's delicate drawings and gentle verse pay homage to the best holiday classics. In celebrating the very things that make each of us special, she has created a back-to-basics fairy tale that will captivate children and melt the hearts of grown-ups,""
