London: Elkin Mathews, 1909.. Drab boards, stamped in gilt. Bookplate on pastedown, erased ownership signature and 1910 acquisition date on free endsheet (the date still intact), crown of spine slightly bumped, with narrow crack at top of upper joint; still, a good, internally fine copy. First edition of Pound's first trade collection, in the first state of the binding, with the spine stamping measuring 2 cm high. The edition consisted of 1000 copies, of which 500 sets of sheets were utilized for the 1913 omnibus reissue with EXULTATIONS. GALLUP A3a.
