Very Good. Tight binding; clean pages and covers; bookplate of Edmund S. Meany - prominent history professor and Lincoln scholar - on front endpaper; another bookplate of David Leroy - a Lincoln expert - on reverse of front endpaper; moderate wear; bumping to top corners.
Author was a law clerk under Lincoln and Herndon according to Monaghan. He offers many details of Lincoln's personal life and his relationship with Ann Rutledge.
Very scarce signed.
