From the text card laid in: "This piece revives the antiquated form of the 'peep show', a toy-like device resembling a private, miniature theater that was popular in the 19th century...The photographs for this project were taken by Gaskell at the Netherworld Well on the grounds of Villa Regaleria in Sintro, Portugal. The design of the well and surrounding gardens are based on Dante's Inferno." Lavender hard cover accordion binding opens to reveal peep show images. This enclosed in a green silk folder with a ribbon tie closure. All elements in fine condition. Each year the Peter Norton family commissions a limited art edition to celebrate the Christmas season and holidays. . Fine. Soft cover. Limited Edition . 2001.
