Hodder & Stoughton, London., N.D. [1912]. New edition. The best edition, being the first to have this frontispiece and the seven full-page black and white illustrations. Quarto. Fifty tipped-in colour plates with captioned tissue guards. For this edition, in order to keep the number of plates at fifty, one of those from the 1906 edition was substituted by the new frontispiece. This is also the first edition to have the plates interspersed in the text rather than gathered together at the rear. Decorated cloth gilt.Some tanning to free endpapers. Fore-edge very slightly spotted. Near fine. A very bright copy
