In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Spine is a little faded. Only a few light marks to the boards. Light rubbing to the joints. Very small tear to the head of the rear joint. Hinges are a little strained. Internally, binding is a little strained in places, five plates are detached but present. Pages are lightly age-toned and spotted. Two of the in-text engravings have been hand-coloured by a prior owner. Good
