About This Item

This book has been read but only has very minor wear on dust cover edges from normal storage. No wear to covers, no markings on inner pages. Spine intact no creases. "When Peter Pan flies through the window of the Darling children's nursery in search of his lost shadow, the scene is set for a classic tale that has captured the imaginations of children and adults alike through the last 100 years. On the magical island of Neverland, Wendy and her two brothers meet the Lost Boys, who live with Peter. Together they embark on a series of adventures with the other inhabitants of the island: the mischievous Tinker Bell, the brave Redskins, the Pirates on the Jolly Roger and their notorious leader Captain Hook. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the beloved classic tale of Peter Pan and Wendy, this gorgeous storybook contains the unabridged, original text complemented by 70 luminous illustrations by award-winning artist Robert Ingpen. The author's great-great-nephew provides the foreword. Readers will be captivated as never before by the exciting adventures of Peter Pan, Wendy and their friends and foes." Amazon "Sir J.M. Barrie was a Scottish dramatist, best known for writing Peter Pan in 1904, or The Boy Who Would Never Grow Up. The son of Scottish weavers, he moved to London to pursue his interest in becoming a playwright. There he met the Llewelyn Davies boys who inspired his masterpiece. Based on Barrie's enchanting characters, Disney created the animated classic, Peter Pan, in 1953." Biography.com
