Pages 109-172, plus fashion prints, engravings, advertisements. 1 fold-out color plate: Les Modes Parisiennes, The Winter Promenade, Engraved and printed by Illman Brothers; engraving "Such a Love of a Man" painted by E. Boutibonne, Illman Brothers engravers, for the story of the same name on page 109-11 by the Author of 'The Story of an Umbrella." Foldout of design for straw embroidery on net; other fashion prints of the period and handiwork patterns. Stories included: Frances Hodgson Burnett, "The Captain's Youngest;" "Rhoda's Prisoner" by Rosalie Gray [Mrs. D. H. Mann]; "That Female Lect'rer and I" by Josiah Allen's Wife [pen name of Marietta Holley [1836-1926]; and many others. Condition is GOOD with edgewear all around, small tears and chipping, owner name on front cover["Azuba C Dennis" ] - internally all is very good with only edges chipped. Nice for the Burnett story and the color fashion print.
