Scarce. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hard Cover. Based Upon a Course of Lectures Given By Members of the Institution of Petroleum Technologists on the Occasion of the Petroleum Exhibition, Crystal Palace, 1920. Ownership signatures of the oilman T.E. Ward who was associated with Major Frank Holmes of the Eastern & General Syndicate, early players in Middle Eastern oil development. The contributors include E.H. Cunningham Craig, George Howell, H. May, H. Barringer, A.E. Dunstan, F.B. Thole, W.R. Ormandy, J.S.S. Brame, James Kewley, Arthur Eastlake, with an introduction by Sir Frederick W. Black and a resume of an address by the late Sir Boverton Redwood's address to the Royal Institute on "The Romance of Petroleum." Illustrated by charts, diagrams and photographs.
