A Fine Impression With Good Variation In Intensity. The Same Lithographic Plate, With Image Trimmed At Top And Bottom, Was Used For The Frontispiece To The Limited Edition Book Edited By Merle Armitage, "21 Statements" , 1936, The First Book Printing Of Two Magazine Articles By Picasso. This Example Of The Full, Untrimmed Lithograph Is From Napolitano's Own Collection. Napolitano Studied At Chouinard And Otis To 1925, Worked With Herman Sachs And Later On His Own Doing Architectural Murals (Los Angeles City Hall, The Miami Beach Biltmore, And Many Prominent Buildings And Estates), Studied Ceramics In Ny And Painting In Germany, And After Returning To Los Angeles In 1933 Began Working In All Media, Including Many Murals For The Wpa, Where He Met Armitage, Who Published A Book About Him In 1935.
