About This Item

New York City: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 2009. Paperback. Very Good minus softcover, 350 pages, color & b/w ills. This was the working copy of the late art critic Peter Schjeldahl, used in preparation for "Alien Emotions", his 2009 New Yorker review of the exhibition. Scheldahl had long term strong interest in a number of the artists in thr show, especially Cindy Sherman and Sherry Levine. The book bears a page and a quarter of not always legible handwritten notes in pen and pencil on the front endpapers as well as markings and some notes throughout Douglas Ecklund's text. Creases and scratches to back cover, general light wear but nothing serious.
