This fascinating work covers Drake's American travels in which he journeyed 2,400 miles of Maine coastline by foot, rail and boat, documenting his experiences. With many towns, forts, islands, churches and much natural beauty depicted. With two-hundred-and-eighty illustrations, and a frontispiece, by Mr H. G. Pabody of Boston, Mr Harry Brown and Messrs. Jackson and Kinney of Portland, Maine. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original pictorial binding. Externally, smart, with fading to the boards and to the spine. Light bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of the spine. The occasional mark to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
