First edition, in the publisher's original pictorial binding. Written by American journalist and writer, Samuel Adams Drake. This fascinating work covers Drake's American travels in which he journeyed 2,400 miles of Maine coastline by foot, rail and boat, documenting his experiences. With many towns, forts, islands, churches and much natural beauty depicted. With two-hundred-and-eighty illustrations, and a frontispiece, by Mr H. G. Pabody of Boston, Mr Harry Brown and Messrs. Jackson and Kinney of Portland, Maine. Collated, complete. In the publisher's original pictorial binding. Externally, smart, with fading to the boards and to the spine. Light bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of the spine. The occasional mark to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good
