This is a richly illustrated, antique copy of "PINOCCHIO - The Tale of a Puppet" by Carlo Collodi. 1916; Whitman Publishing Co.; Racine, Wisconsin. This edition features 40 illustrations by Alice Carsey, some of which are full-page. Illustrated end papers in color. Nicely decorated front cover with gilt illustration and lettering.
Condition:
Both covers have a light stain at the lower-outer quadrant. The lettering on the spine has partially faded. Sharp cover corners. There are a few tiny cloth tears at the top and bottom edges of the spine. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. The text pages are lightly age-toned and mostly clean with only a thin, light stain at the bottom edge of occasional pages throughout the book. "Book B2" is written in pencil on the back of the frontispiece. Old "Gimbel Bookstore" label affixed to the rear end paper. Overall the book is in Good condition.

This is a story of a carved wooden puppet who dreamt of becoming a real boy.
