New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1952. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Translated by Stuart Gilbert. Fifth Printing. Very Good in a Very Good jacket, clipped, faintly toned and rubbed. Black cloth, faintly bumped at the corners, with gilt lettering on the spine. Firmly bound with a slight forward lean, gift inscription on the front endpaper, clean otherwise. Camus' existentialist classic about an outbreak of the plague in Algeria.
Synopsis
Albert Camus' parable, The Plague , tells the tale of a town beset by a horrible disease carried in from rats in the sewer, and the lessons the main characters learn as they face humanity in the destruction of the plague.
