New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1877. First edition. Hardcover. Very good. 8vo. lvi,448pp. 18 plates and a large folding map. Rust colored cloth in a sand-grain patters, gilt spine title, gilt vignette on the upper board. Brown coated endpapers. Inner henges cracked, the rear with an old tape reinforcement; the map has tape reinforcement at the fold corners, but gives a very good appearance; light wear to the edges and corners of the binding. Overall a very good copy. Ink ownership name on the preliminary blank dated in the year of publication. Publisher's list of publications sheet laid in.
