Previous owner's stamps blotted out inside cover. Introduction dated October 5, 1876 so must be e reprint. illustrated in text with seperate maps and woodcut like unpaginated illustrations. Bright unclipped dust jacket with small mended tears and Dewey decimal tag on spine protected in clear dust jacket cover. lvii+452+40(illust)+2=551 pages with index. illustrated on unpaginated pages maps 4, woodcuts 36=40.
