John W. Luce & Company, 1917. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. A good copy of the first American edition in original black cloth over salmon boards (binding has some fading and wear; text has some minor ink marking). Front endpaper has what appears to be an original holograph poem by noted American William Matchett (dated Swarthmore, May 1943). 207 pages. Includes 4 plays in all ('The Tents of the Arabs', 'The Laughter of the Gods', 'The Queen's Enemies' and 'A Night at an Inn'). Originally published in Ireland in 1917 (see Currey, page 171).
