Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Noticeable sunning to spine and edges. Some marks and scratches to boards. Light water staining to boards.

Boards have heavy shelf-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Light tanning to spine and edges with tears to leather to spine edges. Wear marks overall.

Edinburgh: Mundell, Doig, & Stevenson; & Longman, 1806. 5th or later Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 16mo - over 5¾ - 6¾" tall. Ninth edition and believed to be first printing. In very good full brown calf with gilt pattern around edges, and gilt titles and decoration to back strip. The covers are clean, straight and very tight; small piece of leather from top of spine missing. Pink green and grey marbled end papers; unmarked. Dark brown tinted to edge; the fore and tail edges are tanned. Tightly bound text block, some pages marked, tanned or foxed; the reverse of the four engravings are particularly affected. No dedications etc. Good condition overall. Without jacket. Nice little volume. 1806 printing is rare.
