A Near Fine volume in a Near Very Good Dust Jacket. Publishers tinted top edge in Very Good condition. A private library stamp at lower margin of title page - no other markings. Black binding with orange paste-front and spine title, with gently bumped upper corner. Barely bumped spine edges. Clean unmarked decorated end-papers. Half-title page has small neat script name, dated 1931 at top margin. Page 539 has a tiny nick to foredge - does not detract. DUST JACKET has original price on front flap ($2.00). Rear flap has a listing of authors other titles. Jacket has mostly small edge chips, except the jackets front panel has an approx. 2-1/2" long by 1/2" tall chip - at bottom edge, impacting illustration of mans coat. (see photo). Also a few faint very small stains near top edge. A fabulous wrap-around-illustrated jacket in spite of its blemishes. 543 pages. Mylar protected jacket.
